The Actor's Toolbox
The Actor's Toolbox is a series of classes seasoned as well as novice performers. We will explore acting techniques aimed at helping the actor create authentic characters and performances by drawing on the work of Stanislavsky, Strasberg, Adler, Meisner, and others.
We will work with contemporary short plays and scenes. You and your scene partner will have time to really delve into the text, the characters, and the many other aspects of acting we will address during these classes.
Each 4-week session will culminate in a sharing of the scenes on the last day. Each session will build upon the one before, but each session also stands on its own and can be taken without having attended the prior one.
Whether brand new to acting or a pro, these classes will open your eyes to not only the fascinating art of performance, but also to how you experience the world around you.
Class Schedule: Tuesdays from 6:30 - 8:30 September 15, 22, 29 & October 6
Price: $80 for the full 4 week series Stephanie holds a BFA in Playwriting and an MFA in Acting & Directing, with decades of experience both on and off stage.
She has: ✔ Developed and directed a K-12 drama program for children with learning differences ✔ Founded Fizzical Fairytales, a family entertainment company creating performances for schools, libraries, and private events ✔ Co-founded Capitol Carollers, a high-quality vocal ensemble performing for villages, private parties, and public events ✔ Founded Four Corners Carollers right here in Bennington ✔ Created the Wine & Improv workshop, winner of the Best Date Night award
✔ She continues to perform professionally and with community theater groups.
